Our Instructors & Staff Members

Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Tang Soo Do and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.

Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of Long's Karate Institute's instructors and other staff members, starting with Master Bill Long Sr.:

Master Bill Long Sr.  (Owner & Head Instructor)  Thirty one years martial experience, ten year U.S. Navy veteran (Vietnam era veteran), Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science, Associate of Arts in Social Science. Martial art business and school owner. Parent and Grandparent. Motivated and dedicated to providing community leadership and vision by establishing the highest quality martial art programs.

Hobbie Eckes  (Instructor) Hobbie is a former regional and county H.S. wrestling champion. A very seasoned, knowledgeable, and experienced mat technician. A very charismatic 2nd degree Black Belt, talented and motivated. A great technician with a warrior spirit. An astute businessman, General Manager of a large, very successful, auto dealership.

J.C. Long  (Assistant Instructor) J.C. is our youngest staff member. Incredibly talented, he assists with many of the childrens classes and inspires all to "Never give up & Always do their best." He has trained over eleven years and is a great role model for all our younger students.

Girly Long  (Program Director) Girly is the Program Director. She is responsible for all customer service. She speaks three languages and has a bachelor of arts degree and an elementary school teaching certificate.
